A LIFELONG PURSUIT OF SERVING PEOPLE THROUGH THE MARTIAL ARTS
Tammie Lawrence is an educator and a Master Martial Arts instructor who trains aspiring young teachers with the skills on how to engage students and make learning fun and successful. She is known for her work with inspiring mindset changes with students of all ages. Her work with gifted students, ADD, ADHD and Autism has been recognized by Inland Regional Center and educators. Master Lawrence is a 5th degree Black Belt has been studying Martial Arts since 1984. In addition to serving as an educator in both the public and private sector for 30 years, she had the wonderful privilege of participating in the 1988 Olympics when Taekwondo was just an exhibition sport. She continues to study several martial arts styles and holds the rank of 6th Degree Black belt in Taekwondo, 4th degree Black Belt in Hapkido, Certified as a TaeBo® fitness trainer in 2006, a Personal Trainer, and traditional Okinawa Weapons.
Master Lawrence's key purpose in opening Golden Tiger Martial Arts in 1987 was then and is now to help students develop personally. "Our focus has always been to enrich the lives of our students, inspire positive habits, and instill principles for success in every area of life.”
Tammie founded Ultimate Success Karate in 2008 with the goal of teaching leadership and entrepreneurship as part of the program. This program is for families who want the finest instruction in Martial Arts and want to develop Leadership skills in the process. “I believe that the hardest but most important person you lead is yourself.”
In her free time Tammie likes to visit historical places, visit with her children and grandchildren, attend church, teach Sunday school, go hiking and listen to music. She enjoys participating in and watching live theater.
